Dr. Andrew Ko is the CEO and Co-founder of Preceptiv.
He is a thought leader on the social and big data revolution in music, having sat on a music industry panel during Social Media Week in London and speaking on numerous occasions at digital media conferences and the Manchester Business School.
Andrew completed his PhD studies at the University of Manchester in 2014. His doctoral research involves exploring how emotions and context shapes people’s identities and experience with music and what insights can be drawn from this data, which became the foundation for Preceptiv's proprietary technology.
A mechanical engineer by background, Andrew has worked in many different industries including nuclear power and military aerospace. He received an MBA from the Rotman School of Management and started out working in business development & strategy for digital media startups.
David is the CTO and Co-founder of Preceptiv.
He graduated in 2010 with a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto. He spent time as a Research Assistant in the Network Research Lab developing cutting-edge network protocol architecture funded by the National Science Foundation.
Prior to starting Preceptiv, he worked as a software consultant and was the lead developer of a database consulting company specialising in enterprise CRM software for engineering companies with clients spanning Europe and Asia.
